Dr Seuss’s “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” – Signed by Your Child’s Teachers through the Years

dr seuss book

Several years ago, a friend mentioned this tradition to me.  I thought it sounded like the sweetest idea, and as Lily Bean closed out her very first year of preschool last month, I got the ball rolling.

I picked up a copy of Oh, the Places You’ll Go by Dr. Seuss.

At the end of the school year, I left the book with Lily’s teachers and asked them to sign the inside cover for her.

My goal is to have her teachers sign this same book every single year (and can include other important coaches, mentors, etc as needed).  I will then gift the book to her at her high school graduation.  (Which of course I don’t even want to THINK about because she’s only 3 and time already feels like it’s flying.)

Her teacher and teacher’s assistant wrote the nicest little notes to her, including a couple of their favorite memories of Lily.

This is the sweetest!

I adore this idea! Easy for me to pull off too since I already have the book in a drawer of things to give to my daughter someday. What a great tradition!
