Today we were out shopping in Lancaster, PA.
At one of those stores, Lily Bean spotted this blast from the past:
The following conversation ensued:
Lily: Mom, WHAT is that?
Me: It’s a phone.
Lily: Uh, why is it so big?
Me: Because many years ago, we did not have iPhones. If we were out shopping and we needed to call someone, we had to find a phone like this, put money into it and then make a call.
Lily: Oh. That’s so sad.
Me: Yeah, I guess it’s a little sad.
Lily: Let’s take a picture of this old thing with your iPhone so we can show Dad.
And so we did.
