I can’t help it – I LOVE how my Project Life scrapbook is taking shape! The pages are so pretty and eye-catching. The ability to mix my pictures with my words and anecdotal stories and memories is so liberating. I am not stuck to a two-page spread per week of life… I can cut it down to one page if it was a slow week or, as you’ll see in today’s post, use a TON of inserts when the week is action-packed (for example vacation).
This week’s set of layouts are from the last week in January. We went on a cruise from Miami, FL to the Western Caribbean. Not only did every single day pretty much get a full two-page spread, but we also just happened to find out I was pregnant on the last day of the vacation – so that exciting news got its own page as well. 🙂 But that’s just one more reason that Project Life works for the kind of scrapbooking flexibility I was seeking.
Tip: If you are using the Canon Selphy photo printer like I do – you can add text and other photo embellishments to your pictures before printing them out (with the included software). I had fun adding captions to certain pictures as I was printing them. This allowed me to fit more pictures on a spread versus using the journaling cards (which I already used a bunch of to note where we traveled, what we did, etc).
Week 2
Kits used: Project Life Core Kit – Honey Edition
Photo Layout Pages used: Design A & Design D
Our week started off pretty simple enough – birthday dinner for my in-laws, wacky clothes day at preschool…
And then we were off! Check out all of the adventure that we managed to cram into one winter week –
And of course – the biggest vacation “highlight” – after 1.5 years of trying for baby #2, we got the sweetest news that hopeful parents can receive!
Amazing!
