Pretty close to the very second that the ultrasound tech told us our bundle of joy was a baby BOY, we started to accumulate every outfit under the sun and moon that has a firetruck on it. What we didn’t buy, people have gifted to us. Carter’s alone makes about 732 different firetruck themed onesies and coordinating outfits.
Bob has been a volunteer firefighter for more than half of his life. His dedication is many times inspiring – and you can almost always count on the fire pager going off at the exact moment we sit down to eat dinner OR the split second he lays his head down on his pillow at night. Be that as it may, he loves it.
I knew that our newborn shoot with my amazing sister Caitlin would be epic and have several wardrobe changes. I even planned for a firefighter themed portion – purchasing this ridiculously adorable knit infant firefighter outfit months before Landon was born. I figured Bob would bring his gear home for the photo shoot… but in the end he and my sister ended up whisking the baby up the road to the actual firehouse to take pictures. I was just 6 days post-csection so I stayed behind and remained clueless to the amazing-ness of the shoot until Caitlin posted our gallery a couple weeks later.
It goes without saying, I LOVE THESE!!
